Good Morning!

Today we’re going to practise some spellings and our handwriting. We’re looking at words from the Year 5 and 6 spelling list-I’m sure that you’re missing my favourite list…!

This website helps to learn how to spelling these words and has some games you can practise.

Have a look at the words below, practise writing them in your book and then, If you can, ask your sibling or parent to test you!

How many did you get right?

Challenge:

On the Blog, write 1 sentence using as many of the words that you can! Plan your sentence first in your Home Learning Book to ensure that it makes sense before publishing it!

When you’re practising your handwriting, remember to start and finish your letters in the right place, sit the letters on the line and remember which ones are tall and which ones hang below the line

The Girl who Stole an Elephant

I hope you’re enjoying the book so far! Have a look below for chapter 2! Happy reading 🙂 Let me know what you think and answer the questions in your Home Learning Book.

Read Chapter 2

2.    ‘Chaya zoned out as Neel talked’. What does this mean?

3.    Why does Neel say to Chaya; ‘Please tell me you’re joking’?

4. Neel doesn’t finish his sentence when he says ‘He will have your father –’. What effect does this have on Chaya? How do you think the sentence might have finished?
