This term, we have been so lucky to take part in the Shakespeare project.
Not only have we learnt the story, we have rehearsed and acted Act 2, learning how to act as an ensemble. We have also used our English lessons to write and create stories, newspaper reports, non fiction reports, setting descriptions and many more all based on Macbeth. We even used our art lesson to do some weaving in the style of the Celts.
Out of everything we have done as part of this project, what has been your favourite part, and why?
I have two favourite parts. One was when we met the famous actor, the other is when we sang the song at the end.
I really liked the man who said things in between 2 sections of the play.
I liked when we sang Hail King of Scotland. I also enjoyed watching the other children perform.
I loved peforming the show in St. Marylebone School for Girls. I was surprised to see the father from Paddington and the Lord from Downton Abbey.
Same as you Eugenie!
I enjoyed watching the other children perform.
I liked doing the real thing -it was amazing!
My favourite part was the performance and the rehearsals because we had so much fun!
I enjoy rehearsing and play games.
The warm-ups in the rehearsal were lots of fun because they included teamwork.
I enjoyed everything!!!!!!
I enjoyed acting a scene of a Shakespeare project #Awesome
I loved the part when we did all those FUN rehearsals. The games were super fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favourite bit of the Macbeth project was when we did the
show. I didn’t think it would be so fun. I liked that we had lots
of space to act. The other thing that was good was that we
didn’t have to starve because we had snacks.
I liked how Katie danced and helped us .
My favourite part was when we sang the song at the end.
My favourite part was we did the real thing. I’m so glad I had a part.
I liked everything, it was amazing! Thanks Katie !!!!
Thank you miss, Katie and everyone else
I liked every thing but especially the rehearsals because Katie was the best and she taught us so much.
My favourite part out of the entire thing was the rehearsals and the real thing – it was amazing! The best experience ever and of course, I enjoyed learning about Macbeth. Thank you Katie and Miss Carruthers. :>
I enjoyed the first rehearsal because Katie showed us the story.
It was amazing – thank you Katie and Miss Carruthers.
I liked playing the drums.
My favourite part was the rehearsals because Katie was so kind and the rehearsals themselves were very fun . I liked the game seven up. I am sad because I missed the performance but I still enjoyed the practices.
I liked the real thing because I like acting out and I want to do it again.
Me too Fenton, I hope we do something like this again.
My favourite parts were the rehearsals and the actual performance!!!
The rehearsals were made professionally and we acted like stars from a film – it was really fun.
I also liked the bit when we saw the other schools.
I enjoyed watching the adults performing Macbeth because I thought they were very good and also because I enjoy watching plays. I also enjoyed the festival itself because I enjoy acting and I was so surprised to see Mr Brown from Paddington.
I loved the part when my mummy came to the play, it was so fun.
Katie is the best director in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so sad that I could’t go 🙁 It sounds like I missed a great evening. Well done everyone! 🙂
I feel like I want to do this again and again because I enjoyed this so much !!!! It is a memory I will never forget !!!
