23rd March 2016 Can you retell the story of Jesus at Easter?
We have been very busy learning all about Easter. We have heard the Easter story from lots of Children’s Bibles and we each made an Easter Garden. We have learnt Easter songs for the Easter Celebration at church. We decided that it was a very sad story with a very happy ending. Can you retell the story of Jesus at Easter?
After the bread and the wine, Jesus said someone would do something bad and the baddie disciple walked away. Then they came and got Jesus and put him on a cross and when he had died they put him in a tomb. I made an Easter garden with a tomb.
After Jesus had supper with his disciples, sharing the bread and wine, he went to a tree and prayed to God. The next day the soldiers took him up the hill and then put him on the cross when he was dead they put him in the tomb. The next day Mary came to the tomb at dawn. She was shocked that Jesus was gone! Then, when she saw Jesus she went to tell the disciples. Unfortunately He had to go to Heaven but He promised them all He would send the Holy Spirit. A few days Jesus sent the Holy Spirit and everyone was happy!
Good news is very special for everyone.
Jesus was put on a cross. When he died, the apostles were very sad. After they were happy because Jesus was alive!
