Today we began our World War II project with a visit from Mrs Kitty Baxter. Kitty was a child during World War II and was evacuated not just once, but three times! It was an incredible opportunity for us to meet an eyewitness of World War II and we sat spellbound as Kitty told us her fascinating story. We were able to ask lots of questions and are now looking forward to the publication of Kitty’s incredible life story in her book, ‘The New Pyjamas’.
