Year 1 have been really excited about their new topic ‘Space’. This afternoon the children enjoyed exploring and using mud rock to make the planets in the solar system. The children got stuck in and began the first part of making the different planets by covering a balloon. We look forward to painting them next week.
The children also made an oil pastel and chalk picture of the solar system. The children learnt how to add texture and blend using chalk and oil pastels to create different effects. They look superb!
