What a day we had at Broadstairs beach!
After an early start, and a long coach journey, we arrived to the beautiful sunshine of Broadstairs. We had a little snack (hiding from the seagulls!) before heading to the beach. Our first activity was our sandcastle competition which was judged by the local lifeguards. They had a tough job as we had made lots of amazing sandcastles! We had some time to play in the sand before heading down to the sea. We used the wet sand to make some sand art, and then went paddling. It was lots of fun jumping over the waves! Our next challenge was to see who was the fastest at tunnelling from the flag to the sea.
Next we had the rest of our lunch, with a special ice cream for pudding! Delicious! Mrs Duffy then took us to Louisa Bay where we looked for shells and animals that live in the rock pools, before having some relay races.
We had such a fun day at the beach! Thank you SVPA for funding our special trip. Thank you also to all the parents who came and helped make the day so great!
