Today we were very privileged to attend the Youth Sports Trust 2018 Parliamentary Reception hosted by the Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP in the Terrace Pavilion at the House of Commons. The event brought together parliamentarians and leading figures from the world of education, health and sport to discuss the power of play and sport to improve young people’s lives and the launch of children’s charity’s 2018-2022 strategy, Believing in Every Child’s Future. The event also marked the 10th anniversary of our first National School Sport Week, which is taking place this week.
Our head Sports Ambassadors were the only primary school aged pupils at the event and spoke eloquently to everyone about their experience of sports and how it can transform lives. Miss Coleman and Mrs Duffy were very proud of their confident speaking to such a large and prestigious audience. We were inspired by the other speakers such as Eboni Beckford-Chambers who was part of the England Netball winning team at the Commonwealth Games.
Thank you to the Youth Sports Trust for your amazing work and support of physical education in schools.
