This morning Year 6 jumped aboard the famous Second World War survivor and iconic London landmark, HMS Belfast.

We had a super time exploring all nine decks to discover what life was like on board for the crew at war and at sea. We climbed up and down ladders to get close to the inner workings of a warship: from the guns that fired some of the first shots on D-Day, the navigation room, the dentist surgery, the kitchens (which prepared over 2000 meals a day!) right down to the engine rooms 15ft below sea level.
