This afternoon, Class Three had their creativity afternoon to explore new Art skills through the Ancient Britain topic.
The first activity focused on the skill of creating a background using a wash with paint followed by adding on silhouettes. The children created fantastic Stonehenge Art work to celebrate one of the most famous prehistoric monuments!
The children also created cave paintings using oil pastels and chalk. We used the famous cave paintings we studied in our History lesson last week and copied each of the designs. Some of these cave designs were discovered in Spain and France. We tried hard to use red and black pastels as most cave art consisted of paintings made with either red or black pigment.
Thank you to all the parents who came to support this afternoon.
