To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, Reception class worked together to make pancakes.
First, we used the computer to find a simple recipe. Then we measured out all of our ingredients using a set of scales and a measuring jug. We sieved the flour into a bowl, cracked two eggs in and added the milk little by little as we whisked.
To cook the pancakes, Miss Savage heated up some oil in a pan and poured in the batter. She was not very good at flipping them high up in the air, so she used a spatula to flip them in the pan.
Once they were cooked, we squeezed on some lemon and sprinkled a little bit of sugar. We shared them and they were delicious!
