Class 4 had a very exciting morning!
We were visited by Hakkasan restaurant to learn all about healthy eating. We looked at the different food groups and explored which foods are healthy for us. Then we looked at how we can use our 5 senses to enjoy food and try new foods! After that, we learnt about the different tastes by looking at our taste buds.
We then got to test out our taste buds by trying lots of different food and describing the taste! We tried some tomatoes and salty samphire. Lots of us enjoyed the sour lemon!
At the end of the session, we had to guess the different vegetables by feeling, smelling and tasting (if we were brave enough!) them with our eyes closed! Some of them were tricky to guess, such as fennel and beetroot!
We had so much fun and would like to say a big thank you to the Hakkasan team who came to teach us so much in such an engaging way. We look forward to our next session with you, through the Adopt a School programme, where we will get to try out our cooking skills!
