A colon is a punctuation mark of two dots.
A colon can be used to introduce a list.
Example: Here are my favourite colours: red, yellow, orange and green.
A colon can be used before an explanation.
Example: I was extremely hungry: I hadn’t eaten for 24 hours.

Hello everyone! I hope your day has been good so far! For today’s task I wrote theses sentences:
– I wanted to see three states: Florida, California, and Indiana.
– I bought a ton of chocolate at the store: dark chocolate ,milk chocolate and white chocolate.
– I enjoy reading books : Harry Potter books are my favourite.
– You can come and pick me up now: I am feeling way better.
– The world is a stage: play your role well.
– Ben doesn’t care about anyone: he is the epitome of selfishness.
– Never forget this phrase : think before you speak .
– This is what I need : butter, sugar and and flour.
– If you are going to the pool- you must remember these rules : do not run, do not dive in shallow waters, if you see unsafe behaviour talk to the life guard and finally- have fun!
– Sally plays three sports: Netball, Football and Tennis.
– I didn’t want to eat the sandwich: it had way to much mayo in it.
– There is only one solution : Lilly would need to go to summer school.
– Mia said that it is easy to describe school buses : they are smelly, rickety ,slow and ugly.

1) This Easter I was going to Mexico to visit: Uxmal, Chichen Itza, Tikal and Copan but unfortunately I am stuck in lockdown in London!
2) After the coronavirus lockdown finishes, I am going to: spend time with my friends, visit my family and go swimming.
3) When I went to the supermarket I bought: pasta, olives, bread, fruit and sushi.

He loved playing with his pets: the cat, the dog and the parrot.
The dog had the choice of going: through their cat’s cat flap, through the open door or through the garden.
When we went to the funfair my mum said I could either have: a bag of popcorn, a stick of cotton candy or a fizzy drink.
My older cousin is so annoying he always: breaks something that is mine, takes something that is mine and hides it and makes fun of me.
My favourite places to go on holiday to are: Spain, California and Hawaii even though I have never been.
