Today we are multiplying by 9.
Can you remember your 9 times table?
Are you confident in it?
Look at the question below:
Well, if we count the fish in each bowl, there are 9 fish in each and there are 3 bowls.
The question is asking 9 X 3 or sometimes we say 9 groups of 3.
If you know what 9 X 3 is, great!
If you’re not sure, add the number of fish from each bowl together like this:

If you need help, please just ask!
If you finish and fancy a challenge, click here: Challenges
There are 10 challenges here, you don’t have to do them all, just pick a few if you would like to do some more maths!
Well done to all of you for working so hard! I am missing you all, I hope you are still finding the blogs useful and interesting!
Enjoy!

Completed and sheets in folder. I have done some of the challenge questions and will work through the more difficult ones.
Fantastic well done!
Hi Miss Lee,
There seems to be a mistake in one of the Challenge questions (unless the answer is in decimal points):
560 divide by ? = 9
The answer is not a whole number.
Hi Sophie,
Hmm you’re right I think they meant to say 540 ÷ ? = 9
I don’t think it will let me change it on the sheet but now you know what the question should be! Well done for doing the challenges!
9×3=27 Or you can do 9+9+9=27
Well done! Now try the Maths No Problem pages ?
Hi Miss Lee,

9×3=27
Challenge:
All I did was
54~9 =6
6×9=54
Then I added a zero.
Answer =60
540~60=9
Is it that I don’t write it I my yellow book because I wrote it on this blog?
Thanks
Stella.☺️☺️☺️
Well done Stella! Yes you can write it either on the blog or your yellow book, you don’t need to do both!
Sometimes it’s nice to have a break from the computer as I find looking at a computer screen for too long can sometimes hurt my eyes so I like to take little breaks away from the screen!

2nd page of the challenges: 560 divided by a number = 9 this can not be right?
https://www.stvincentsprimary.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Challenges-1.pdf
Hi Rafael, yes unfortunately I can’t change the question but my guess is it is supposed to say 540 divided by 9.
Hope that helps!
