Tomorrow our parents and carers will be attending our end of project celebration. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, but let’s just say that our parents and carers will be going back in time to World War 2 and (hopefully) learning a lot! This morning, we have been cooking some tasty war-time dishes that will be sampled tomorrow:
- Eggless chocolate cake
- Strawberry snow
- Cinnamon biscuits
Don’t forget that these recipes might taste strange to us today as they were made with very small amounts of sugar and no eggs. Many types of food were rationed and difficult to come by during the War.
We even washed up the old-fashioned way, as there were no dishwashers in the 1940’s!
