Today is my Mum’s birthday so I will be having a video call party with her and my family later! We seem to have lots of May birthdays in our class coming up very soon!
I hope you have been enjoying learning about The Tempest so far!
Today we are going to learn some more spellings from the Year 3 and 4 spelling list…

1.) Please practise these at home in your yellow home learning book. You could write them in your book using look, cover, say and write. Or you could read the list of words and ask someone at home to test you on them.
2.) On the blog, write a definition for two of these words.
3.) On the blog write two sentences using two different words from the list.

Can you write a whole paragraph using all of these spelling words? You will have to think very carefully about your sentences to ensure they are cohesive and make sense!

Today I decided to challenge myself to write the definition of all of the words:
Definition:
Popular – liked or enjoyed by many people.
Position – the place where something is or should be/ to place a
person or thing in a certain place.
Possess/ ion – to have of own something.
Possible – that can exist or happen
Potatoes – a round white vegetable with a brown or red skin that
grows under the ground.
Pressure – continuous pressing.
Probably – almost certainly.
Promise – definitely do or not do something.
Purpose – what you intend to do.
Quarter – each of four equal parts.
Potatoes – One of my favourite vegetables are potatoes.
Quarter – A quarter of eight is two.
Challenge:
Potatoes are a popular vegetable in this country. At least a quarter of the UK population eats potatoes probably once a week, possibly more often. Potatoes possess important nutrients such as potassium and Vitamin C. The purpose of eating healthy food is to make you strong and fit. Potatoes are best grown when in a position with good sunshine. I constantly pressure my mother to make potatoes for supper and promise to be good if she does.

One ordinary day a girl named Roseanne promised her mum to help her cook probably the popular dish which is mashed potatoes. Her mum told her that she needed to buy a quarter kilogram of potatoes because they only got one piece of potato in their possession. Once they got the potatoes, they then started to cook it, wait for it to cool, and mash it with pressure using a potato masher. Once that’s done, her mum put a little drop of all purpose cream. Roseanne thinks that it was the best possible mashed potato ever because she helped to make it.
