Here are the poems!
Shirley Hughes poems Cold and Wind
I preferred the poem “Cold” because I like snow to play and I like skiing. I can do a snowman and throw snow balls.

Good morning Miss Travers,
My favorite poem was The Wind, because because it reminds me of the wind blowing me backwards on my scooter. I shout Yah Hey and go really fast.
The Cold made me feel shivery and quite cold.
I like the second one because it tells you all about all the colours that are in a rainbow. When I read it out it was like a song with a beat.
I have drawn some pictures in my cold one I have icicles, cold cold water, sun and a snowman. In the windy one I have a badger because they like playing in the wind at nighttime because they are nocturnal like Tommy Brock.
Well done Jacob! I like that you have explained why you like to poem! I imagined I was in the poem when I read it because it is so descriptive!

I would like to talk about the “Wind” poem as that is my favourite.
I like the wind story because I like how the children play. The wind can mess up your hair. The wind can fly objects around as in the picture where leaves ? and the man’s hat ? are flying in the air.
