Good Morning, Nursery.
Well done for your hard work in Phonics yesterday.
Can you practice hearing and saying the beginning sound from yesterday in these words ?
Today’s Phonics task: We are focussing on the sound ‘w’. Practice making the ‘w’ action and saying, ‘w w w w w.’
Here are some words that begin with the ‘w’ sound. Practice saying them like this, ‘w w w walrus’.
Go on a hunt in your house for more things that begin with a ‘w’ sound. Practice saying them like this, ‘w w w washing machine’.
Can you hear and say the beginning sound of the objects that you have found?
Practice writing the letter ‘w’ in the air and on the table with your finger. You can also write the letter on your laminated card using a whiteboard pen or on paper using pen, crayons, paint or pencil.
I can’t wait to hear about all of the things that you found in your house that begin with the ‘w.’ sound.
I know that lots of you are enjoying Geraldine the Giraffe . Here she is learning the ‘w’ sound too:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5HfNo7Mtd7U
