Good Morning, Nursery.
Well done for your great shape work yesterday.
Today, we are going to solve a Maths puzzle.
Look at the teddies. Can you find the shapes on the teddies? Can you recognise the shapes that are used? How many of each shape can you find?
Can you solve the puzzle with a grown up? All of the answers are about the same teddy. Can you find which one it is?
Can you create a picture using shapes? You could print with shapes, cut out and stick shapes, draw round shapes or draw some shapes.
You could try to draw some shape teddies of your own and play the game again.
I am looking forward to hearing all about your Maths today.
Love from Miss Siswick.
PRINTABLE VERSION:N Maths Friday
Hello nursery,
Fiadh was confident pointing out the triangles, squares and circles in each teddy and solved the puzzle. She loved doing the activity and is excited to make a picture out of shapes!
Well done, Fiadh.
Good Morning,
Adelaide fond out these shapes: Circle, Square and Triangle.
The teddies had 12 Circles, 9 Squares and 8 Triangles!
We did the puzzle and we are sure that everything points to the first teddy on the right!
He’s got square eyes, round nose and square buttons!
Well done, Adelaide.
Good morning!
Esmeralda Drew a robot using different shapes. The robot is a girl
Its head is a rectangle
Its body is a rectangle
Its noise is a triangle
Its pockets are a diamond and square.
Its hand are a “birds”.
Its feet are semicircles
Its legs and arms are made of “lines”
She enjoyed a lot her task.
Greetings.
Well done, Esme.
Grace recognised and counted 13 circles, 9 squares and 8 triangles, she counted them by crossing them off on her own. Then we solved the puzzle which we worked out was the Teddy on the top right hand corner. She needed help here to realise how to eliminate the other teddies but enjoyed doing this.
Grace is now playing around with lots of different versions of her Teddy – which she has called Sunshine with the cut out shapes to play with – see pictures 🙂
Well done, Grace.
James got the shapes and puzzles correct, and has practiced drawing his own shapes
Well done, James.
Good morning Miss Siswick,
Alexander correctly identified and counted the shapes in the puzzle. We worked on the puzzle to identify the correct teddy. He had fun cutting and colouring the shapes to make a picture.
Well done, Alexander.
