Good Morning Year 2!
Click here for a printable version of this blog post: Friday Art printable
Normally at school, today would be the day we have our Marion Procession, celebrating May as the Month of Mary. Every child makes a flower to carry round to the church to then decorate our statue of Mary with.
Today I would like you to create something to do with Mary. You could draw or paint a picture, or try something more creative. These two websites (found here and here) have lots of ideas, and I’ve put some of my favourite ones below:
You could also make your own flowers to decorate your picture of Mary! This video shows you an easy way to make flowers using coloured paper. If you don’t have coloured paper, decorate some plain paper or decorate something that you want to recycle, like a newspaper.
Please send in photos of your Mary creations! I can’t wait to see them all!
There won’t be any Year 2 blogs next week because it is half term. If you are looking for more fun activities to do, then check out the Whole School Blogs for lots of exciting things to do! Have a happy half term 🙂
