Miss Coleman

Headteacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead

My name is Miss Coleman and I am proud to be the Headteacher of St. Vincent’s Catholic Primary School. I have been leading the school for twenty years and feel privileged to work with such a wonderful team of staff, governors, parents and children. The school has been recognised as outstanding and we strive to deliver an exciting curriculum, making the most of our vibrant community. I am the Lead Person for Safeguarding & Child Protection.

For the Summer Term 2024 I am also working as the Executive Headteacher of St. Alban & St. Stephen Catholic Primary School.

Miss Carruthers

Assistant Headteacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead, SENDCO, Assessment lead

My name is Miss Carruthers and I am the Assistant Headteacher. I support different classes across the school. Within the school, I am the SENDCo and Assessment Leader. I am also the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. This is my eleventh year at the school now and I greatly enjoy being part of the St Vincent’s family.

I welcome children into school every day. I love having belly rubs!   I like to play and I can provide comfort if you are feeling sad. I am hoping to train to be an official Therapy Dog.

Miss Siswick

My name is Miss Siswick and I am the Year 6 teacher  at St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School. I am the Relationships & Health and Extended Schools Leader. I also teach German to Classes 3, 4, 5 & 6 and I help Mr Hylton with the choir and Key Stage 2 singing. I have worked at St Vincent’s for twenty years which should tell you how much I love it here!

Miss Drury

Nursery Teacher, Foundation Stage, Phonics and Science Leader

Hello, my name is Ms Drury and I will be teaching in Nursery as well as leading the Foundation Stage, Phonics and Science across the school. As a previous pupil, St. Vincent’s  is very close to my heart so I am thrilled to be back in the school community. This year, I hope to inspire and support pupils to be the best they can be and continue to discover the joy in learning!

Reception Teacher, Design Technology Leader & shared Religious Education Leader

My name is Mr Kersys and I am the Reception teacher at St Vincent’s. This will be my sixth year teaching at the school and I am thrilled to be part of our wonderful school community!

I am really excited to explore the topics and read lots of new stories together in Reception .

I also lead Design Technology and I share the leadership of Religious Education  together with Miss McCarry.

Miss McCarry

My name is Miss McCarry, and I will be teaching Year 1 this year. I am thrilled to be part of the brilliant school community here at St Vincent’s. My favourite subject is Design and Technology as I love being creative and Religious Education as I enjoy developing my faith. I am looking forward to this school year!

Hi, my name is Mr Aitken and I can’t wait to get started at St Vincent’s Primary School. I’ve been teaching for ten years, most recently in Year 6, and I am very much looking forward to teaching Year 3 at St. Vincent’s  this year. Choosing a favourite subject is not easy but I particularly like teaching Maths because I love that you never stop finding new ways of solving problems.

My name is Miss Karagianni, and I’m excited to join St Vincent’s as the PPA teacher. I will be working across a range of year groups, supporting different classes throughout the week. My favourite subject to teach is Geography because I find it fascinating to explore our world, learn about different countries, and discover new cultures. I love inspiring children to develop a sense of wonder and curiosity about the planet we live on. I am also multilingual and have a strong passion for languages, both learning them myself and teaching them to others. I am really looking forward to being part of the St Vincent’s community and working alongside staff, pupils, and families.

St. Vincent’s is a very encouraging, caring and joyful place where students can develop not only academically but socially as well. The reason why I feel honoured to be a  Teaching Assistant in Year 4 is because ,as I have had previous experience as an overseas trained teacher, I think that I am able to transfer my knowledge and enthusiasm to the students whilst helping out in any way I can. I am also multilingual so I can proudly communicate in languages such as French, and many more. Finally, in my spare time I enjoy reading, travelling and encountering new adventures.
