Number bonds are a way of breaking down numbers to smaller parts. This could be using addition (e.g. 4+5=9) or place value (40+3=43). Today we are going to do it focussing on the place value.
As you work through the lesson in the textbook, you will see that there are lots of different ways you can lay it out. They all show the same thing but in different ways.

Once you have done worksheet 4, there are some other activities you could do:
- This BBC Bitesize lessons has a recap at the start, and then four different games and activities that you can play. Some games are online and others are things you can play at home.
- This NRICH activity sets out a challenge for you to complete to make different 2 digit numbers. You can either print it out and do it on paper or there is an interactive version on the website.
- This NRICH board game is a fun game to play with someone in your family. You’ll need a dice and some counters. Be careful, the snail board is laid out differently to normal boards.

I finished all my maths. I had a day off yesterday but I did all my maths from yesterday today. I tried the NRICH challenge which was hard. These are the best answers I could get.
