I know lots of you are really enjoying spending time outside at the moment. I hear about lots of walks and bike rides in the park!
It is so important that we follow the rules of the road when we are out and about. If we all do this, then everyone will stay safe.
Today I want you to think about how to cross a road. Do you remember doing the Wiser Walking Workshops earlier in the year? We had a special visitor from the council who taught us how to safety cross a road and where the best places to cross are. Click here to look at the photos to remind yourself.
There were so many things to remember. Can you remember how to safely cross a road?
Have a look at these little hedgehogs and listen to their important message:
Today I would like you to make a poster sharing the rules of road safety.
Here are some things to think about/include in your poster:
- How to cross a road safety
- Where a is a good place to cross
- What to look out for
- What are the dangers
You could even go for a walk with an adult and take photos of the signs that we need to look out for when we are walking.

Brilliant Sophie, lots of great advice for crossing roads safely. It’s really good to stay close to a friend or family member when we’re walking on the pavements. 🙂
I made Stop Look Listen poster with a man who was hit by a car on a stretcher.

What a great slogan Finley! And a very useful reminder that we should where bright clothes when it is night time so that cars spot us. You’ll notice lots of cyclists doing this as well. Well done 🙂
