We have been reading the book A Balloon for Grandad by Nigel Gray.
Today, we wrote our own personal messages for our special relatives who live far away or who are no longer with us. We put them inside a balloon and, after saying a special prayer, we let them blow away into the air. It was a very special day.
- “I wrote a special message for my grandpa who sadly passed away. I hope my balloon will fly to heaven so that he can remember me just like I remember him. I really loved him.” M.B.
- “I sent my balloon with my message to my grandma. I sent it to her because she is far away and I’m thinking of her.” E.A.
- “My balloon flew away. I hope it will go to China where my grandma lives. I sent her a message telling her that I miss her and love her.” S.Y.
- “My balloon went to Africa and I hope it will arrive because it would make my grandma very happy.” A.S.
- “I sent my balloon to my daddy in Ireland. I really miss him and I hope he will get my message.” E.L.
- “My great grandma passed away. When I die I hope I see her in heaven. I hope she gets my balloon in heaven because I wrote a special message for her.” M.E.
