October Gallery 10×10 Art Project
St Vincent’s has established many links in the local community including the October Gallery in Holborn.
You may remember visiting the gallery for trips to see different exhibitions and take part in creative workshops.
The October gallery are running an art project called ’10×10 Apart Together.’ The project is based on the stunning work of West African sculptor El Anatsui, whose artworks are made by many hands.
The gallery are inviting artists and educators, young people, families, and schools to create a special ‘art’ square. When your square is finished it will be linked together with all the others to make an art piece that celebrates our community staying safe by staying home.
It would be fantastic if you would like to take part in this exciting project and contribute your ideas to the October gallery and our community!
If you are interested in getting involved, the video below tells you all about the project and its inspiration.
Click HERE for more information about how to get involved in the project and a step by step guide of what to do.
Head to the OG Education Youtube Channel for inspiration and example squares inspired by artists.
Be careful with adverts popping up when watching videos on YouTube. Always ask an adult for help.
You can either bring your art square to school with you in September and Miss Jones can post them altogether to the gallery or you can send it to:
