Prayers for Home: W/C: 13th July 2020

During these unprecedented times, we know how important it is for families to find opportunities to come together and pray and reflect upon the day, the present time and times ahead.

Prayer is so beneficial to us all in different ways but we know that it strengthens the family ties and communication; helping us to heal and find peace.

Below you will find the final daily prayers for this school year before the summer holidays. I appreciate how challenging these past few months have been for you and your families. It has been a privilege to offer our support in this way.

The end of the school year provides a perfect opportunity to take a moment to look back and reflect, as well as look forwards with renewed vision and hope.

As the final week of daily prayers for this school year, we finish with The Five-Day Examen – a simple but beautiful resource for use at home.

Based on the traditional Ignatian meditation, these daily reflections are used at the end of each day to help children reflect on all that has taken place, how they have felt and responded and how they can allow Jesus to work in them more.

How to lead:

For this week, it is best that the Prayer Leader is an adult. The prayers run Monday – Saturday.

– Music plays automatically on the first slide each day.
– Simply read the reflections on the slides at the end of each day.
– Make sure to incorporate gaps for the children to reflect on each question.

Whilst some of us are apart it will be wonderful to know that we are sharing this special prayer resource together. You can let us know what you think of the resource in the comments section, or even share some pictures of your special worship space using the file uploader for the attention of Mrs Avdiu.

We hope to see you soon and we pray that God continues to keep you safe and healthy.

God bless you all.
