Saint Vincent de Paul is a very special saint to us because our school is named after him!
As Saint Vincent’s feast day in on the 27th September, Class 5 discussed the important work he carried out.
He always looked to Christ as his leader and tried to translate the Gospel message through his actions.
Saint Vincent did a lot of work serving the poor including raising money to build hospitals for them. He also formed a religious group, called the Congregation of the Mission, who worked helped the poor people with food and clothing and teaching them about Christ.
We know so much about Saint Vincent de Paul’s life from the thousands of letters he wrote. To commemorate this we designed some postage stamps which celebrate the life and work of Saint Vincent. Our final designs are beautiful and really do help us to remember the wonderful work of Saint Vincent de Paul.
