We are thoroughly enjoying our WW2 topic and we have made a video to share some of our learning with you. It is called ‘The story of Evacuees’ and we really hope that you enjoy it as we had such fun making it! Although we can’t perform directly in front of you, we must trust in God that ‘we will meet again…’
If you would like to sing along to London Town (Country Roads by John Denver) please find the lyrics below!
London Town
About to leave,
Our lovely city
Far away from
Black outs and the bombings
We must keep safe,
And be brave today
Leave our parents behind
Time to evacuate
London town, we’ll miss you
But we’ll be back.
Sometime soon!
We’ll pray for refuge
We will miss you
London Town
See you soon
We felt scared
What will happen?
To our homes
and our lovely fam’lies
Life is unknown
In uncertain times
We will pray to God
To watch us all at night
London town, we’ll miss you
But we’ll be back.
Sometime soon!
We’ll pray for refuge
We will miss you
London Town
See you soon
