In Class 5 we have had SO much fun during Enterprise Week (a special thank you to Miss Gorick for organising this week)!
We have learnt all about profit, loss and interest in maths. We played a fun ‘investing’ game in table teams!
When it came to designing our product we had so many creative ideas of what we should make. We eventually decided to make keyrings but then the question was what type of keyring?
In maths we collected data by asking the class to vote which type of keyring they wanted to make. We showed the votes in a tally chart. Emoji keyrings got the most votes!
Next we had to think of a company name and design a logo…
Since we were making keyrings with emojis we called our company Kemoji!
We each designed a logo and then voted for our favourite. There was a tie in votes which meant we needed a re-vote between the two logos with the highest votes. After we counted the re-votes we realised… it was another tie! The logo designers combined their ideas to come up with this…

Finally it was time to film our advert! We used persuasive language such as rhetorical questions and superlatives to make sure everyone wanted to buy a Kemoji!
You can watch our advert here: https://www.stvincentsprimary.org.uk/news/enterprise-advert-kemojis/
After we watched the adverts we put in our orders for the products we wanted to buy. We also watched the orders for Kemojis come flying in (it was VERY exciting)!
We used our maths skills to draw the total orders from each class in a bar graph. This made it so much easier to see how many Kemojis we needed to make in total as well as how many we needed to give to each class.
We thoroughly enjoyed making our Kemojis. We definitely showed reciprocity when we all worked together as a team to ensure our product was made to a high standard and packaged in envelopes with our very own logo on the front.
We were very proud of our product and we would like to thank everyone who ordered a Kemoji! We made a profit from the £25 loan we were given by Miss Coleman and we can’t wait to spend it on something nice for our class!
Thank you Miss Gorick for planning Enterprise Week. It was amazing!
