In Year 3, we have been looking at the different houses that the Ancient Egyptians would have lived in. We looked at pictures and discussed the the differences to houses now, we discuss that Ancient Egyptians wouldn’t have had fridges, electricity or running water so they had to us the river Nile and sources like fire for heat and cooking.
After looking at different houses and their designs we began to design our own. We drew our designs from a birds-eye view so that we could clearly see the layout of the house. Some of our houses had many rooms and some even have areas for animals.
We have labelled our diagrams to show the different areas and uses of the house.
