This week was Health and Fitness Week!
Class 5 enjoyed a visit from Martin, a first aid hero, who taught us all about CPR, the recovery position, how to treat burns and cuts and what to do if someone if choking! We remembered lots from our first aid course last year but there were a few things we had forgotten so it was important to learn it all again! We learnt about the importance of CPR and how it could save someone’s life!
Thank you to the SVPA for organising a first aid workshop for Class 5 and the rest of the school! It was such an amazing opportunity to learn life saving skills which we can use to help others! We know we are in safe hands in our school with Class 5 around!
I really enjoyed this mini fist aid lesson. It taught me how we could save someone’s life if they need CPR. It also taught me how to treat burns and cuts and what to do if someone if choking.
Thank you teachers for peppering this for me and the class it was really useful.
This was really fun. I really enjoyed the first aid lesson with the mannequins. Now I know how we could save someone’s life if they need CPR and how to treat burns and cuts and what to do if someone is choking. (We have learnt the difference in between choking and gagging, one you make sound and one you do not) Now I would know how to treat anybody maybe to save their life!
Thank you Martin (the man who came in) and Miss Lee for your time put into that lesson and I look forward to doing it again next year for (probably) the last time!
Bye, Stella!
