Today every class came together for our first whole assembly of the academic year. Although this was not yet in person, it was so lovely to see each other on screen.
We reflected on our school mission statement and thought about why rainbows are so special to us. We compared our experience of lockdown to Noah and his Ark and how the rainbow was a sign of God’s promise. We are now full of hope for the future.
Every class had wonderful ideas to share.
Why do you think rainbows are special to our school?
All our new pupils were welcomed to our school and presented with a school Prayer Book before we said our special school prayer together.
Dear God,
Thank you for me,
Thank you for my friends,
Thank you for my family,
Thank you for everyone at St. Vincent’s.
Help us to be better friends,
Help us to be kind and caring to others
Help us to have a good education
Help us to follow God’s way.
Together through Christ we grow and learn
The rainbow is special to our school because its a sign of not only joy but hope, love, and peace. We are also a catholic family so we honour the rainbow with respect and love.
