Kindness is more important today than it has ever been. The isolation of the last year has underlined how little acts of consideration and charity can break down barriers and brighten the lives of the people around us. This is one of the reasons, that ‘One Kind Word’ has been chosen as the theme of the week.
Today we launched Anti-Bullying Week with a whole school assembly, Odd Socks Day and class workshops led by Mind.
The children (and our furry friend Molly) had lots of fun wearing odd socks to celebrate their uniqueness and spreading awareness of the core values Anti-Bullying Week promotes.
Today all classes from Year 1 to Year 6 attended a class workshop about ‘kindness’ led by Mind. The workshops provided the children with a clear understanding of what kindness is and the opportunity to consider different ways that we can be kind to ourselves and others.
