We have had a very fun week celebrating Science Week 2022!
The theme for Science Week this year is ‘Growing’ which fits in nicely with our current class topic!
We began the week by starting our whole school science experiment. For the experiment, we used four pieces of bread and touched the bread without washing our hands, with hand gel, with washed hands and without any touching. We have been observing the bread each day to see if anything changes!
We completed a ‘Growing with Pattern’ activity where we looked at repeating patterns using print. We looked at lots of different patterns in the natural and man-made environment, and then experimented with printing using simple objects. We talked about how our patterns grow!
We also planted our own beans and we are waiting for them to grow. We learnt that plants need sunlight and water to help them grow.
We have enjoyed learning all about the different ways things grow!
