Our cress seeds are beginning to grow. First, we saw their roots shoot towards the ground. The roots suck up the water and food from the soil. Next, we saw the stem and leaves grow up towards the sky. Plants love to sunbathe and their leaves are big and flat to catch the lovely sunshine. We remembered that the soil has lots of yummy food for the plants but we had to water them as there is no rain in our classroom and we don’t want them to be thirsty!
