After a busy and exciting week at Sayers Croft, Year 6 are setting back into school life and have been working hard in all of the subjects.
In PSHE, we revisited the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. We discussed the ones that we remembered in pairs and then the ones that were new to us as a whole class. We know that these rights are for all children and cannot be taken away.
Next, we each chose the rights that we think we should focus on in our classroom and wrote what we thought adults and children should do to respect these rights for all children.
Finally, we used what we had learned to create and agree on our rights respecting shared class charter. This will help us to remember to respect our own rights and those of other children.
The class charter was so fun as we all got a picture of putting out thumbs up. We also wrote and talked about the different rights that every child has.
I really enjoyed doing our work on the class charter and hope that we can all respect others and our chosen articles!
The class charter was amazing, I really liked when miss took the picture of us with a thumbs up which was funny.
