This week we supported World Mental Health Day and used it as another opportunity to talk about mental health, how we need to look after it, how important it is to talk about things, use strategies and get help if you are struggling.

Children from Nursery to Year 4 had workshops with our Music teacher, Mr Rees, to explore how music can play an important role in supporting wellbeing. Each class listened to a range of composers and reflected on how it made them feel,  how it could be used to improve their mood, bring people together and make you feel less lonely.

Year 5 and 6 spent the afternoon at Lord’s Cricket Ground to learn about the link between physical and mental health. During their visit they took part in a cricket match and explored the concept that keeping active is a really powerful way to enhance your physical and mental health.

Thank you to all of the children who added a touch of yellow to their uniform to show young people they’re not alone with their mental health.

What did you enjoy and learn on World Mental Health Day?
