In Art this half term, we have been learning more about primary colours. Our focus was painting and we used a colour wheel to learn about how you can mix primary colours to make secondary colours. We then learnt about the positions of these colours and how to use the colour wheel properly.
Lots of us impressed our teacher with how much we knew about primary colours and most of us knew which colours they would create when mixed carefully. We learnt that you can mix red and blue to make purple, blue and yellow to make green, and red and yellow to make orange.
This was a chance for us to work in the Creativity Room again but we knew that we had to be sensible whilst working in here. We listened brilliantly to instructions, treated each other with great respect through helping others with mixing, and we worked sensibly with our learning partners. On top of our brilliant attitudes to learning, we also then helped to tidy up without even being asked! We showed such maturity and helpfulness and the adults that we work with were all incredibly grateful. We love the chance to be creative and really enjoyed being able to investigate more about colours, which we will be able to use whilst painting.
Super cute artists❤️
I had an amazing time making my colour wheel! Mixing colours with friends was so much fun!
My mum said that “we did a good job tidying up in the end too!”🙂
I remember doing this when I was in year 2 !
