Year 1 have loved looking at the artist Paul Cezanne over the last few weeks. Paul Cezanne was a French painter who lived in the 1800s. We observed how he used light and dark tones to create shadows and make the objects look 3D. We attempted to do this ourselves using fruit as our prop and by using 6B and 2B pencils. Today we were focusing on staying inside the lines of our pictures. We also talked about the different shapes, patterns and colours we can see in his artwork.
