We’ve been familiarising ourselves with how to use protractors to measure angles in Maths. Protractors can be quite fiddly but the children have taken to protractors like ducks to water. Earlier this week we worked on the steps for measuring angles:
1) Line up the centre of the sunset with the point where the two lines meet
2) Line up one of the lines with either of the zeros.
3) Decide whether we’re reading the inner scale or the outer scale of the protractor.
4) Follow the scale from zero to the point where the scale meets the line.
5) Read the number of degrees.
Today, we used our knowledge of measuring angles to draw angles of our own with the help of our protractors. Below is just a few of the children who showcased their angle drawing skills on the board using an interactive protractor:

We all are getting the hang of protractors. I believe that we are pros! Protractors are hard to use at first but we all did a great job.
I loved coming up to the board and measuring the angle. IT WAS SO FUN !!!!!!
