This Tuesday we celebrated our Religious Education work from this term with some special Key Stage Assemblies. Each class shared some of their favourite pieces of work and told us why their work is so special.
We were so pleased to be joined by Father Philip, who was able to see lots of the children’s brilliant Religious Education work, in the form of writing, art, and different role play activities.
Two children from each class came up to share their favourite pieces of work from this term. This give each child an opportunity to share their understanding of their Religious Education lessons, with the rest of their Key Stage. Key Stages 1 and 2 showed the work in their books, this was an excellent opportunity to show how special our Religious Education books are. So much thought and care goes into all written and art work within the books, and excellent presentation was proudly shown. EYFS talked about the pictures of their creative and expressive art work, including role play. This is a great way to capture the Religious Education learning throughout Nursery and Reception as the children begin the journey of their faith.
All of the children were so brave to share their thoughts and understanding of their faith through their written and creative work. We ended each of our assemblies with our school prayer, where all of the children were able to reflect on their achievements and hard work this term.
Well done to all of the children that shared their wonderful work with us and a big thank you to the teachers for helping all of our children at St. Vincent’s to learn and further develop their understanding of faith.
I really like doing RE in class and I like learning about our faith.
