Throughout this topic we will transport ourselves to the hot, leafy, rainy jungle where we will learn all about what lives there and compare this environment to our own.Β
To help us become real jungle explorers, we will listen to and talk about non-fiction books all about the jungle to help us develop a deep familiarity with new knowledge and vocabulary!

What might you see and hear in the jungle?

In the jungle we might see tigers, giraffes and also gorillas. Also we might hear chimpanzees or lions. When I went to Dublin Zoo in my half term holiday I heard a lion roar but I didn’t see it. It was so loud! π¦ π¦ π¦ π
Elephants are my favorite animal in the jungle. ElephantsΒ use their trunkΒ to pick up food. Elephants are in Africa and Asia. Elephants are the biggest animal in the world. Elephants’ tusks are teeth.Β
We might see snakes, monkeys, giraffes and many other animals in the jungle. We can hear lionβs roaring, snakeβs hissing and lots of bird songs there. You have to be careful in the jungle because you can easily get lost and the sounds of jungle might sound scary.
My favourite animal is a lizard π¦ it is part of the squamate reptiles with over 7000 species. I love the lizards because they are fast and have different colours. There are 3 types of the lizards in Uk I have seen two of them. Common lizard, sand lizards and the slow worm lizard which are protected under wildlife and countryside act. 1981. On Half term we meet Dan OβNeill in the zoo he is a zoologist and he showed us pictures of animals in the jungle. He has visited Brazil and talked about the Amazon rainflorest which is the largest tropical rainflorest famed for its biodiversity. He showed videos of the Jaguar and I canβt wait to see his work which is called Giantβs series on the TV.
The jungle has so many differnt animals. There you can find monkeys, lizards, snakes, tigers and lions. Gorillas are my favourite because they’re so strong. They are found in Africa and Congo have a huge population. π¦πππ ππ
We can hear so many different animal sounds when you go the Jungle, like a lion roaring and you can see alligators, gorilla, snakes and Tiger, lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Cheetahs there are loads of animals you can see on the jungle ππ¦πππ¦π¦π¦π¦
You might see crocodiles in the jungle. Crocodiles have sharp teeth. They love to βsnapβ thingsπ Tigers also live in the jungle. Tigers have stripes π π―π΄πΈπ¦§π’ππ¦
My favourite animals in the jungle are toucans and sloths. You can hear lots of different animal sounds, and see lots of tall trees π¦π―π¦π¦§ππ¦π ππ³π²ππβοΈ
I love the jungle! Because there are elephants, lions, tigers, rhinos and snakes. They are big and dangerous! There are also poisonous frogs and some of them can be not poisonous. One day, I am going to Chitwan National Park in Nepal, where my Daddy is from. We are going to ride on an elephant, which is like riding a horse but big as a house! And we can see rhinos when we ride on them. My favourite animal is a baby elephant. They are small and cute and bigger than a mouse. I am going to take my sunglasses. And Daddy Bunny.
