This week there were lots of brilliant events to celebrate Health and Fitness Week at St. Vincent’s!
We began the week with an assembly and Mental Health workshop with Mind. We discussed what mental health is, the differences between physical and mental health and how our physical health can have an impact on our mental health. We then thought of people we could talk to if we were struggling. The workshop reminded us how important it is to speak out if we are having difficult thoughts or big feelings which way be too big to handle by 0urselves.
Then, on Tuesday, it was time for Sports Day 2023 at Paddington Recreation Ground and what an exciting day it was! There were so many events to try and get as many points as possible: The fancy dress race, the sprint, the long jump, rob the nest, javelin, egg and spoon race and an obstacle course!
St. Patrick’s, St. Andrew’s. St. David’s and St. George’s teams all competed against each other to see who could get the most points. All of the teams showed outstanding sportsmanship and resilience throughout the day. Well done everyone!
The parents and teachers also had their own races and even a tug of war. It was a lot of fun to watch!
Thank you to Mr Aitken for organising such an amazing sports day, all of the Coaches from QPR and all of the other teachers who helped out as well as all of the parents who helped to give out the scores.
I really enjoyed my final Sports Day at Primary School. It’s been a pleasure to come to this school and I hope best for everyone.
This was fun I loved it
Thank you teachers for organising sports day every year. We have had so much fun.
