As part of Takeover Day on Friday 18th November Year 6 have worked with Marie Stirling, Marketing and Digital Officer at the Wallace Collection to write the press release. The children really enjoyed their session and writing for this important purpose.

Dear Journalist,
My name is Amy Kim and I am ten years old. I am working with the Press and Marketing team at the Wallace Collection and I am writing to inform you about ‘Takeover Day’.
On Friday 18 November 2016, St. Vincent Catholic Primary School will be taking over the entire Wallace Collection.
I am very excited to be working on this project, as many children and adults will never get this fascinating opportunity. On Takeover Day, years 4-6 will be working very hard. Year 4 pupils will doing jobs that the museum staff normally do, such as welcoming visitors, promoting tours and working in the gift shop, while Year 6 pupils have been working with the Press and Marketing department. We are also very excited to announce that the ‘Young Curators’ will be giving a special family- friendly tour on the theme of ‘Objects from around the world’ at 1pm on the day.
