Over the last few weeks in RE we have been focusing on the topic of ‘Baptism’ with an initial focus on feeling welcome. The children spoke about how they felt when they were welcomed into St Vincent’s and what they can do to make others’ feel welcome.
The children brought in their lovely baptism photos from home which are displayed in the classroom. The children have learnt the 4 signs and symbols of a baptism and have learnt the significance of these religious elements. The children also enjoyed acting out a baptism using props.
This week we have concluded our topic. It is great to see so many children being able to name the important signs and symbols and confidently talk about why baptisms are special.
