This morning Year 1 performed their wonderful assembly all about Explorers.
They took us back in time to learn about different explorers who had travelled to new places, flown around the world and even made it to the moon! We learnt about Christopher Columbus, Neil Armstrong, the Wright brothers and Amy Johnson. It was interesting to learn lots of facts about these people and to learn about the different people they found when these explorers went to new places. There was some excellent singing and acting which we all enjoyed.

You have learned so much about these explorers and taught us so many interesting things. Your costumes were fantastic and your songs were brilliant too. You should all be very proud.

Amazing assembly about explorers! I enjoyed it a lot. My favourite song in the assembly was ‘fly me to the moon.’
Great job to the staff and students of year one! Such a fantastic assembly, I loved it. You should be very proud of yourselves. My favourite part was when you sang Fly Me to the Moon and did all those lovely actions. 💗

I loved the assembly! My favourite song was ‘Fly me to the Moon’ and it was amazing to play the part of Queen Isabella of Spain.. I loved it!
