Within this very exciting topic, children will learn the history of entertainment, particularly the development of film, from the Victorian era to present day. By the end of the topic, children will have written and produced their own films. In lessons we will be focusing on script writing, analyse and learn the different film angles, learn how to use a green screen and use different ICT programmes to edit and create their final piece.

To get us started, we will be reading Hugo Cabret in lessons to explore the various camera shots and their significance as well as learning about automatons.

We will be working with engineers from Rolls Royce to learn the process behind planning, building and the techniques used to create parts of Cirque du Soleil’s  production set of Amaluna.
