During Summer 1, Year 1 worked so hard to create projects and posters for their homework!

Our projects focused on:

Our Geography topic: Coasts and Climate

Our Science topic: Seasons

  • Creating a weather diary, observing the weather in their local area and collecting data. To support our learning about how weather changes throughout the seasons, and what weather and climates there are in different countries across the World! An interesting way to study the climate of London, and how the weather changes across Spring and into Summer.
  • Comparing two different coasts or countries that have different climates that children had visited. This was a great way to share their experiences with their peers, and to see how many countries have different coasts and climates!
  • To choose a favourite country in the world, and find out lots of facts about it.
  • To bring in photos or facts about countries they have visited, and information to share about the weather, seasonal change and climate there.

Year 1 worked so hard on their projects and they were so proud to individually present their projects with the class, telling their peers all about the information they had taken time to research or collect, and all about how they made their project at home. Well done Year 1, I am so impressed at how hard you worked on the projects and I am so proud that you all spent time at home with your families to deepen your learning.
