Today was a very exciting day in Class One as we received a package all the way from Australia! We had been tracking it from Tasmania to London using a special number that stops our package from getting lost.
A couple of weeks ago we wrote letters and sent our own package to our new pen pal class that are from Holy Rosary Catholic School in Claremont Tasmania. We told them about ourselves and hoped they would write back…and they did!
In the package they sent there was a letter for each of us, some Australian animal toys, a lizard toy for each of us, a chocolate with an Australian animal on it (called a Furry Friend) and some maps of Hobart! We were so excited to read our letters!
As a class we have been brainstorming questions we can ask and what we could send them back so that they can learn about London. It is going to be very exciting in Class One over the summer term. Watch this space!
