Every Tuesday, a group of Year 6 children lead our class worship at the end of the day.

In teams, we plan our worship by first deciding and reading the scripture reading (WORD) that we would like to celebrate together.

Next, we plan how we will prepare the class to begin our celebration (GATHER). This might include actions, special music or passing the Bible around.

After that, we decide the response to what we have heard in the scripture (RESPOND). This includes prayer which we have written ourselves.

Finally, we plan for the task or special message (MISSION) we will give the class to focus on over the coming week.

When it is our teams’ turn, we prepare the prayer table by deciding which special object to display and then we lead the worship.

Now all of the teams have prepared and led the worship once, we will start again in new teams.

What do you enjoy most about celebrating the word together, Year 6?
