In our recent art lessons, we explored the theme of London by creating line drawings of the cityโs skyline. Using charcoal, students carefully traced the shapes of the buildings in Marylebone, capturing the bold outlines and details of the architecture.
To make the drawings more interesting, students used their fingers to smudge the charcoal, adding soft shadows and depth. This helped the artwork look more 3D, with darker areas where the buildings were in shadow and lighter areas that popped forward.
The project was a fun way for students to practice using shapes and lines while learning about the buildings in London. The final pieces showed off their creativity and new skills, and everyone had a great time experimenting with charcoal to bring their artwork to life!
Your artwork looks really cool! ๐
